SYMPTOMS

When you send a plain text e-mail message from Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 to a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server mailbox, the body of the e-mail message should be returned to the Virus Scan API 2.0 in Unicode characters.

However, the Virus Scan API 2.0 returns the "0x4E9F" value to the .txt file in the dump folder. The "0x4E9F" value indicates that the data in the body of the e-mail message is in US-ASCII characters.
