SYMPTOMS

In some versions of the SH4 processor, the INTEVT (Interrupt Event) register has been expanded from 12 bits to 13 bits or to 14 bits. Examples of SH4 processors in which the INTEVT register has been expanded from 12 bits to 13 bits or to 14 bits include, but are not limited to, the SH7751, SH7760, SH7770 and SH7780 from Renesas Technology.

The software update that is discussed in this article extends support for the expanded 14-bit INTEVT register in the Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 SH4 kernel.
