SYMPTOMS
When you play high-bit-rate video content by using Microsoft DirectShow on a device that is running Microsoft Windows CE 5.0, a series of video frames may be skipped.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the long decode time that is required to play high-motion scenes could exhaust the limited number of back buffers that are available.

Prerequisites
This update is supported only if all previously issued updates for this product have also been installed.
Restart requirement
After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu. You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this update.

Back buffer flipping chains are artificially limited to three buffers. This software update removes this limit.
