- Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Standard Edition
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
SYMPTOMS
If you mount more than 20 databases in Exchange Server 2003, you may experience a memory leak in the non-paged pool memory. When the server that is running Exchange Server 2003 runs out of non-paged pool memory, the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service may stop responding. If an Exchange Server 2003 server in a cluster environment runs out of non-paged pool memory, a failover may occur.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because the Information Store process leaks thread handles and event handles if more than 20 databases are mounted.
