The Java-based meeting console does not start when you try to join a meeting in Live Meeting 2005 by using a Macintosh computer

SYMPTOMS

When you try to join a meeting in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005 by using a Macintosh computer, the Java-based meeting console does not start.

CAUSE

This issue may occur because Microsoft Internet Explorer in Mac OS X uses Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM) version 1.3.1. In this situation, Internet Explorer may not communicate correctly with some proxy servers when Internet Explorer is using a Java applet.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use the Safari browser that is included in Mac OS X.

Note The version of the Safari browser that is included in Mac OS X is version 1.4. You will not experience the issue that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section when you use the Safari browser.
