SYMPTOMS
When you try to run a program on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 cluster-based computer, the program calls the ClusterResourceControl function. The ClusterResourceControl function uses the CLUSCTL_RESOURCE_STORAGE_GET_DISK_INFO control code. In this scenario, the program may run slowly.
CAUSE
This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:
- The CLUSCTL_RESOURCE_STORAGE_GET_DISK_INFO control code queries a disk on one node.
- At least one disk is present on a second node.
When there are several disks on several nodes, the program spends lots of time querying between the disks.
