SYMPTOMS

You create an appointment or a task in Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2 Sales for Outlook. When you change the Importance field to Low or to High, the priority resets to Normal.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

904435 Update Rollup 2 is available for Microsoft CRM 1.2


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. On the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook toolbar, click CRM Appointment.
  2. Enter all required fields for the appointment.
  3. On the File menu, click Properties.
  4. In Importance List, click High, click OK, and then click Save & Close.
  5. Click the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook home page. The Priority field for the appointment is set to Normal.
