SYMPTOMS
When you update the Work option of an administrative task in the Notify your manager of time you will not be available for work view in Microsoft Project Web Access (PWA), the hours for the work that was submitted for the administrative task does not update in the project plan in Microsoft Office Project 2003.
CAUSE
This problem occurs after you press BACKSPACE or DELETE (DEL) to remove the hours that were submitted earlier, and then the project manager accepted the changes.
RESOLUTION
How to obtain the hotfix
This issue is fixed in the Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 post-Service Pack 1 Hotfix Package that is dated January 28, 2005. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Note After you apply this hotfix, Project Server 2003 enforces a value of 0 (zero) after you press BACKSPACE or DELETE (DEL) to remove the hours that were submitted earlier in the Notify your manager of time you will not be available for work view.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem in PWA, when you are in the administrative task, type a 0 (zero) in Work in the Notify your manager of time you will not be available for work view. Do this instead of pressing BACKSPACE or DELETE (DEL) to remove the hours that were submitted earlier. Then, submit your changes.
