SYMPTOMS
When you accept an updated meeting request by using a Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) 1.21-based program, the Organizer does not appear on the attendee's appointment recipient list.
This issue occurs when the following conditions are true:
- A meeting organizer invites you to attend one instance of a recurring appointment.
- You accept the meeting request by using Microsoft Outlook.
- The meeting organizer updates the meeting request and then sends it to you again.
- You accept the updated meeting request by using a CDO 1.21-based program.
When the CDO 1.21-based program processes the updated meeting request, it calls the GetAssociatedAppointment method of the MeetingItem object to obtain an AppointmentItem object that is associated with the meeting request.
If you open the updated appointment in Outlook, your name appears instead of the Organizer's name on the Scheduling tab. Your name appears two times on the Scheduling tab.
If you try to accept, to decline, or to tentatively accept the updated meeting request by using Outlook, you may experience either of the following behaviors:
- You may receive the following error message:
- You may receive your own response.
