In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, an orchestration instance may generate the following status information when it finishes:

Completed with discarded messages

This status information indicates that the orchestration instance finished when the message or messages were delivered to it. Because of this status information, you expect that the message or the messages are discarded and were not processed. However, you may notice that the message or the messages are still processed and are subsequently delivered to their destination by the orchestration.
