FIX: A distinguished field returns incorrect content when you use the empty <FieldName /> element tag form for the empty field in BizTalk Server 2004

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, when you use a distinguished field to access the content of an empty field and the empty field uses the empty <FieldName /> element tag form, the content that is returned is incorrect.

Notes

FieldName is a placeholder for any type of element.
This problem does not occur when you use the empty <FieldName></FieldName> element tag form.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1 is required.
