MORE INFORMATION
The following factors are guidelines. Processor speeds, memory, and disk speed can cause factors to vary.
- The sort must occur in memory and mustcontain a million rows. Typically, 120 million or more rows are required to experience the problem.
- The computer must be able to support a very large sort memory grant. This grant is generally 8 GB or larger. To accomplish this, the computer must have approximately 64 GB or more of physical memory.
