SUMMARY

Microsoft has released the Microsoft Visio 2002 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix package for the French or Spanish version of Visio 2002. This article describes the following information about the hotfix package:

INTRODUCTION

This article describes the Microsoft Visio 2002 issue that is fixed in this Visio 2002 post-Service Pack 2 (SP2) hotfix package. The hotfix package is dated May 11, 2006. The hotfix package is for the French and Spanish version of Visio 2002.

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue. The issue was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • If you try to start the Visual Basic Editor or to create an organizational chart in Microsoft Visio 2002, you receive the following error message:

    Microsoft Visual Basic

    The language DLL "VBE6INTL.DLL could not be found.

    After you click OK, you receive the following error message:

    Visio n'est pas parvenu a initialiser VBA. Vous pouvez continuer a executer Visio. Clique sur OK pour continuer.

    This second error message indicates that Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) cannot be initialized. This issue may occur if you have the Regional Options on your Microsoft Windows XP-based computer set to any one of the following French language settings:

    • French (Canada)
    • French (Belgian)
    • French (Luxemburg)
    • French (Monaco)
    • French (Switzerland)

    This issue does not occur if the Regional Options are set to the French (France) setting.


This issue may occur if you have the Regional Options on your Microsoft Windows XP-based computer set to any one of the following Spanish language settings:

  • Spanish (Argentina)
  • Spanish (Bolivia)
  • Spanish (Chile)
  • Spanish (Colombia)
  • Spanish (Costa Rica)
  • Spanish (Dominican Republic)
  • Spanish (Ecuador)


This issue does not occur if the Regional Options are set to the Spanish (Spain) setting.
