SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You use Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (SP1) to view a Web page that contains a Vector Markup Language (VML) shape element. The computer is running Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2). When you view the Web page, the images that are part of the VML shape element may not be displayed correctly.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next service pack that contains this hotfix.
