SYMPTOMS
When you use the eseutil.exe /cc command to repair a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server database, the repair may not be successful, and you may receive the "939523486" error code.
CAUSE
This issue may occur if the log files in the production log file directory are corrupted or mismatched after you restore from a backup.
For example, the ExchSrver\Mdbdata folder may contain log files that were not included in the backup file. You cannot restore from backup until you remove these log files and then successfully run the Eseutil utility with the /cc option.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, remove any log files that may be corrupted and then run the Eseutil utility with the /cc option. You can use the Eseutil utility with the /ml option to determine the log files that are corrupted.
