Removal information

There is no option to remove this service pack by using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. To remove Office 2003 Service Pack 2 for Language Interface Pack, you must remove Office 2003. To search for the appropriate file, search the hard disk drive. To do this, follow these steps.

  1. Click Start, and then click Search.
  2. In the Search Results pane, click All files and folders under Search Companion.
  3. In the All or part of the file name box, type the appropriate file name as listed in the table, and then click Search.
  4. In the list of files, right-click the appropriate file, and then click Properties.
  5. On the Version tab, determine the version of the file that is installed on the computer.

Information for administrators about .msp files

The administrative service pack consists of a full-file Microsoft Windows Installer file (.msp file). The .msp file is packaged in a self-extracting executable file. The .msp files in this service pack use the following naming schema:

Lipsp2-LanguageAbbreviation.msp


Note In this naming schema, LanguageAbbreviation is the three-letter language identifier.

Features for reinstalling specific components for administrators

If you update your administrative installation point and then recache and reinstall Office 2003 on client computers, we recommend that you run a command line that includes the REINSTALL=ALL property to install all the features.
