FIX: The "-t" option of the "ps" command does not accept some valid TTY values in Windows Services for UNIX

Article ID: 887531

Article Last Modified on 11/15/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX 3.5

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX, the -t command-line option of the Interix ps command does not accept some valid teletype (TTY) values. For example, if you use the following ps command, you may receive a message that the TTY name is not valid when the ps command tries to display processes that are associated with serial port TTYs or pseudo terminals that do not start with the letter "p":

ps -t XX

However, the ps command works fine for console terminals and pseudo terminals that start with the letter "p."
