SYMPTOMS

Some recurring meetings that Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 users have accepted or created by using Collaboration Data Objects for Microsoft Exchange Server (CDOEX) or by using Microsoft Outlook Web Access may not be displayed in the free/busy information for their calendars. This may cause users who try to reserve a resource for a time period that appears to be free to have their reservations declined because the time period is already reserved.

After users apply this hotfix, they may have to wait until the end of the month before they stop experiencing the symptoms that are described in the "Symptoms" section. This is because the EXCDO component keeps free/busy information cached until the last day of the month. The free/busy cache is rebuilt on the first day of the month.

STATUS
