APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Standard Edition
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
SYMPTOMS
On the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 computer that is running the Active Directory Connector (ADC), the memory usage by the ADC process (Adc.exe) continually increases.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because every time that the ADC runs a Connection Agreement (CA), the ADC allocates a 32-byte memory block that is never returned to the heap. The rate at which the memory usage increases depends on the following conditions:
- How many CAs there are
- How frequently the CAs run
