Article ID: 884387

Article Last Modified on 12/4/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004 Standard Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft Host Integration Server (HIS) 2004 Configuration Wizard to set up the Enterprise Single Sign-On service on a domain controller in HIS 2004, you receive the following message after you specify the account to be used for the Enterprise Single Sign-On service:

Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004 Configuration Wizard

Unable to determine that the <domain_name>\<service_account> is a member of the <domain_name>\SSO Administrators account on the <computer_name> computer. (Name translation: Could not find the name or insufficient right to see name.), As a result, the configuration may fail. Do you want the configuration wizard to try to add <domain_name>\<service_account> to <domain_name>\SSO Administrators?

Yes No Cancel

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the SSO Administrators group has not been created. After the SSO Administrators group is created, the Enterprise Single Sign-On service account and the Administrator account must be added as members.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, click Yes. After you click Yes, the Configuration Wizard continues and finishes.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

The HIS 2004 Configuration Wizard creates both the SSO Administrators group and the SSO Affiliate Administrators Global Security group. Do not manually create these groups.
