SUMMARY

If you attempt to do an Edit Replace immediately after canceling an Edit Find command, the Replace options may not be able to find the words you were trying to replace.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Draw a text frame or use an existing one.
  2. Type in the text:

"The dog chased the cat the cat chased the dog"

  3. From the Edit menu, choose Find.
  4. In the Find What box, type "cat."
  5. After Publisher finds an occurrence, choose the CANCEL button.
  6. From the Edit menu, choose Replace (without doing anything else).
  7. Search for any word.

The message "No occurrences found" will be displayed even if there is another occurrence of the word.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
