SYMPTOMS
When Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 remote tools are launched from Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4), the remote tools may not work with the following:
- The Microsoft Windows CE 4.2 Standard SDK emulator
- The Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 emulator
The following tools are known to have problems:
- Kernel Tracker
- Call Profiler
- Perf Mon
- Sys Info
- Process Viewer
- Heap Walker
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information

Prerequisites
You have to have eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 Service Pack 4 installed before you apply this hotfix.
Restart requirement
You have to exit the emulation environment for the remote tools without saving states. Exit the emulation environment before you restart your computer.
Hotfix replacement information
This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
