INTRODUCTION

This article describes the methods that you must use to turn on (enable) Java and JavaScript in Microsoft Office Live Meeting.

Method 1: Microsoft Internet Explorer

To turn on Java and JavaScript in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  3. Click the zone that you are using (for example, click Local Intranet), and then click Custom Level.
  4. Locate Java permissions, and then click one of the following options:
    • High Safety
    • Medium Safety
    • Low Safety
  5. Locate Active scripting, and then click to select the Enable check box.

Method 2: Netscape Navigator

To turn on Java and JavaScript in Netscape Navigator, follow these steps:

  1. Start Netscape Navigator.
  2. On the Edit menu, click Preferences, and then click Advanced.
  3. Click to select the Enable Java check box.
  4. Click to select the Enable JavaScript check box.
  5. Click to select the Enable JavaScript for Mail and News check box.
  6. To turn on auto-install for plug-ins like the PlaceWare Slide Uploader, click SmartUpdate, and then click to select the Enable SmartUpdate check box.


Note Step 6 is optional.
