SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Word for Windows, if you use TrueType fonts with small point sizes in a table, the text may appear to have superscript formatting. This problem occurs with certain printer fonts and point sizes smaller than 10 points.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. This problem was corrected in Word version 6.0 for Windows.

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use the following steps:
- Select the text that appears to have superscript formatting.
- From the Format menu, choose Paragraph.
- In the Line Spacing box, change the setting from Auto to Single.
