SUMMARY
Microsoft has released the Microsoft Outlook 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package for Microsoft Outlook 2002. This article describes the following items about the hotfix package:

INTRODUCTION
This article describes the Microsoft Outlook 2002 issues that are fixed in the Outlook 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that is dated July 9, 2004.

Issues that are fixed in the hotfix package
The following issues are also fixed in this hotfix package but were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- When you follow these steps, you receive a "Dr Watson" error message, and you must quit Microsoft Outlook:
- Post a message with a custom form to a calendar folder.
- Double-click a new calendar item to open it, and then immediately click a different Outlook folder, such as the Inbox folder.
- When you select an additional time zone to display in a one day view or in a five day view with a 60 minute increment, the time difference between time zones is not correct.
- When you configure an Outlook folder with custom views and custom filtering (DASL), Outlook may stop responding.
- When you follow these steps, the formatting toolbar may remain turned off:
- Click an Outlook folder that has a Home Page configured.
- Click another Outlook folder, such as the Inbox folder.
- Open a new HTML message, and then click inside the body of the e-mail message.

Prerequisites
- The optimized version of this hotfix is a post-Office XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) hotfix. To install the hotfix, you must have Office XP SP3 installed.

- The optimized version of this hotfix requires Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 or later.
For additional information about the Windows Installer requirement, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:330537 OFFXP: Office XP updates and patches released after September 2002 may require Windows Installer 2.0
- The full-file version of this hotfix is also the administrative version of this hotfix. You can install this version of the hotfix with Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). However, Microsoft has not tested this fix on Office XP SP2 to the same extent as on Office XP Service Pack 3. If you install this hotfix on a computer with Office XP SP2 installed, some file conflicts might occur. Microsoft supports this configuration, but we do not recommend this configuration.
