MORE INFORMATION

The Exchange edition of the Microsoft Product Support Reporting Tool (MPSRPT_Exchange.exe) is intended for use by Microsoft support customers to gather detailed system status and configuration information. The data that is collected helps the Microsoft Support Professional with fault isolation.

The Microsoft Product Support Reporting Tool is a self-installing tool. It runs on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, and Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Every time that you run MPSRPT_Exchange.exe, it is reinstalled. (It overwrites the previous installation.) MPSRPT_Exchange.exe then calls MPSRpt.cmd to gather the reports. The Microsoft Product Support Reporting Tool does not make any registry changes or modifications to the operating system.

If the .cab file is not created, copy all the files in the %SystemRoot%\MPSReports\Exchange folder to a compressed (zipped) file.

Note The %SystemRoot% folder is the folder where you installed the operating system. Typically, this is the C:\Winnt folder or the C:\Windows folder.
  3. Send the .cab file or the compressed (zipped) file directly to your Microsoft Support Professional by using the method that is specified by your Microsoft Support Professional.
