Hotfix file installation steps

To install this hotfix, follow these steps:

  1. Obtain and extract the hotfix that is described in this article.
  2. Double-click the Office2003-kb867815-glb.exe file.
  3. Click Yes to accept the license agreement.
  4. Type the location where you want to extract the hotfix file.


Note You can click Browse to select the location where you want to extract the hotfix file.

  1. Click OK.
  2. In Windows Explorer, copy or move the Pptview.exe file from the location where you extracted the hotfix file in step 4 to one of the following locations:
    • If you have PowerPoint 2003 installed, copy or move the Pptview.exe file to the folder where PowerPoint 2003 is installed, such as C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11.
    • If you do not have PowerPoint 2003 installed, copy or move the Pptview.exe file to the folder where PowerPoint 2003 Viewer is installed, such as C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\PowerPoint Viewer.
  3. Click Yes to confirm the file replacement.
