SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, when you try to build a large Visual C# solution that contains multiple projects, you receive the following error message:
This error occurs when Visual Studio .NET 2003 is building the satellite assemblies.
Note This problem does not occur if you use the Devenv /build command-line command to build the solution.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because of a bug in Visual Studio .NET 2003. Some resources are not being released correctly.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Visual Studio .NET 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
