SYMPTOMS
When the Index.dat file is deleted or is corrupted, the Wininet component re-creates the content cache and also creates new subfolders without deleting the old folders from the old Index.dat file.

Restart requirement
After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole operating system. To perform a clean build of the operating system, follow these steps:
- On the Build menu, click Clean.
- On the Build menu, click Build Platform.
You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this update.
