    • Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    • Microsoft Windows XP Professional for Itanium-based systems




SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Windows HTTP Services (WinHTTP) 5.1 with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Microsoft Windows XP 64-Bit Edition, the IIS service may stop responding. When IIS stops responding, Windows HTTP Services also stops, and you cannot gain access to your Web site.
