SYMPTOMS
When you try to load or save a text-based file in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002, Visual Studio may quit. You may experience this symptom when a text-based file that contains a suitably crafted string causes heap corruption to occur.

CAUSE
This problem occurs because Visual Studio .NET 2002 calls certain internal functions that are incorrectly implemented. This problem may affects text-based files that contain Unicode characters.
