SYMPTOMS

When you try to add a group to a Group Policy object (GPO) that defines restricted groups, only the local domain appears in the locations list. You expect to see other trusted domains when you follow these steps:

  1. Right-click Restricted Groups, and then click Add Group.
  2. Click Browse, and then click Locations.

However, the whole directory appears instead of only the local domain objects if you follow these steps:

  1. Click Restricted Groups, right-click inside the right pane, and then click Add Group.
  2. Click Browse, and then click Locations.
