CAUSE

This problem occurs if you do the following:

  1. Deploy a schema with one namespace.
  2. Undeploy the same schema.
  3. Redeploy the same schema with a different namespace.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, restart the BizTalk Host that is using the assembly. To stop and to restart the host instance, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, and then click BizTalk Server Administration.
  2. In the BizTalk Administration console, double-click the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 (local) node, expand Hosts, and then click the BizTalkServerApplication in the left pane.
  3. In the results pane, right-click the host instance, and then click Stop.

Note Typically, the name of the host instance is the computer name.

The status of the host instance changes to Stopped.

  1. In the results pane, right-click the host instance, and then click Start.

The status of the host instance changes to Start pending. To change the status to Running, use one of the following methods:

    • Click Refresh.
    • Right-click the host instance, and then click Refresh.

MORE INFORMATION

When you use document schema, BizTalk Server 2004 caches the schema. Eventually, the cache times out and BizTalk Server 2004 uses the new schema. If you want BizTalk Server 2004 to use the new schema immediately, you must restart the BizTalk Host.
