MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft Windows 2000 introduced the IgnoreRemoteKeyboardLayout server-side setting to resolve a problem with substituted keyboard layouts. Although Windows Server 2003 does not suffer from this problem, the setting lets a Windows 2000-based server use the keyboard layout and the locale that are in the user's profile. The setting makes the keyboard layout and the locale controllable by using a logon script or a default profile. This setting is now available in Windows Server 2003.
