A message appears in the Check Names dialog box when an Appointment record is updated in Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook 1.2

SYMPTOMS

If you change an Appointment record created with Microsoft® Business Solutions CRM Sales for Outlook 1.2, for example, invite an additional Microsoft CRM user, the Check Names dialog box with the following message will be displayed:

Microsoft Office Outlook does not recognize '<domain\username>'.


This message can appear even though the Microsoft CRM user can be resolved.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
