SYMPTOMS

Assume a situation where there are two Microsoft Exchange servers in the same administrative group. These two Exchange servers have the same routing group in a domain environment. One of the Exchange servers work as an expansion server. The other Exchange server works as a bridgehead server.

In this situation, the permissions for the distribution group for the Exchange expansion server does not let an external e-mail account send an e-mail message to the distribution group. However, the members of the distribution group can receive e-mail messages from an external e-mail account
