839636 Assignment delays change the Finish date of a project plan in Project 2003

When a Project plan contains custom fields that have formulas and groupings, Project 2003 may quit unexpectedly (crash) and you receive the following error message when you try to reopen the Project plan or when you try to insert a custom field in a view:
If you view the details of the error report, you receive an error signature that is similar to the following:
