INTRODUCTION
When you edit your Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services Web site or your Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Web site, use Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003. Earlier versions of FrontPage may break SharePoint features or functionality.

FrontPage 2003 was created with consideration for Windows SharePoint Services and for SharePoint Portal Server, and therefore can be used to edit Web sites based on those technologies.
If you use an earlier version of Microsoft FrontPage (such as Microsoft FrontPage 2002) to edit your SharePoint Web pages, the earlier version of FrontPage may actually break some features or remove some functionality from your SharePoint Web pages. This issue occurs because some features of SharePoint Web sites, such as Web parts and data views, are not available in earlier versions of FrontPage.
