SYMPTOMS

When you try to fast forward the DVD content during playback, the video frames stop moving and the program stops responding.

This behavior prevents the playback of the next section of content and may also prevent viewing content such as a menu. This behavior occurs while you use the fast forward scan operation to view content at two times the regular playback speed or at four times the regular playback speed.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix Information

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 4.2 Core OS QFE 838966. To resolve this problem immediately, click the following article number for information about obtaining Windows CE Platform Builder and core operating system software updates:

Prerequisites

This fix is supported only when all previously issued fixes for this product have also been installed.

Restart Requirement

After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu.

Hotfix Replacement Information
