  • Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

SYMPTOMS

During recording of a TV show, the channel that appears on the front panel display of a Media Center Edition 2004 computer may be incorrect. However, the correct channel is being recorded.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because, while you watch Live TV and when a scheduled recording initiates a change of channel, Media Center does not update the front panel display to indicate the channel that is being recorded. However, the correct channel does appear in the Media Center shell, and the program that is scheduled to record is correctly recorded.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
