SYMPTOMS

When Microsoft Outlook clients transfer e-mail messages to your Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 server from an Offline Folder (.ost) file, the information store may not mark messages as "Not Spam."

Notes

  • This problem only affects e-mail messages that are sent within your Exchange organization.
  • All messages that are sent by Outlook clients and that are logged in the Exchange information store are successfully marked "Not Spam."


RESOLUTION

Software update information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next service pack that contains this hotfix.
