SYMPTOMS
When you run a program that uses the Active Directory directory service DsBrowseForContainer function, the program may stop responding, and you may receive an access violation error message that is similar to the following:
This problem occurs on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when all the following conditions are true:
- You run a program that makes a call to the DsBrowseForContainer function.
- You click a container object from the container list in the Browse for container dialog box, and then you click OK.
RESOLUTION
