SYMPTOMS
After you start up a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer that is running the DaVinsi Pointsec for PC hard disk encryption software, and you type your Pointsec userID and password, the computer may stop responding. You may receive the following Stop error message:
CAUSE
This problem occurs when your computer uses the Intel 830M video driver and a Pointsec-encrypted hard disk that uses the NTFS file system.
The problem does not occur when any one of the following conditions is true:
- The computer uses the VGA video driver.
- You start the computer in Safe Mode.
- The Pointsec-encrypted hard disk uses the FAT file system.
