Issues that are fixed in the hotfix package

The following issue is fixed in this hotfix package but was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • When you click the Advanced tab in the Properties dialog box of an offline folder (*.ost), you may receive the following error message:

    Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    If you view the details of the error message, you may receive an error signature that is similar to the following:
