  • Microsoft Application Center 2000 Service Pack 2

SYMPTOMS

You may notice a minor routing imbalance when you have many routed components or a very slow Microsoft COM+ application server. The routing imbalance occurs in Component Load Balancing (CLB), because a CLB internal routing table is incorrectly updated to drop servers from the routing table for a polling interval. Typically, you will only notice this behavior if you run debugging tools to track routing table updates and component response times.

CAUSE

A race condition in the routing table update routine can cause a server to be dropped from the routing list of one or more components for a polling interval. This behavior may occur if the poll response of the COM+ application server is received just before the end of a polling interval.
