SUMMARY
The Management Information Base (MIB) defined object, sysDescr, returns a string of the following form:
"Microsoft Windows CE Version 4.2 (Build nnnn)"
This update enables a registry setting that you can use to change the value of sysDescr.
The OEMs can modify the sysDescr text for their platforms to return the following text:
"Sample sysDescr text"
To return this text, create the following registry entry in the Platform.reg file:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SNMP\RFC1156Agent] "sysDescr"="Sample sysDescr text"
