SYMPTOMS
When you use the NetGroupGetInfo function on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer to query for the properties of a domain group, it may take a long time for the function to return results.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if the domain group contains many users. This problem occurs because the NetGroupGetInfo function counts the members of the group regardless of the query level that you specify when you use the function.
If you use an ADSI script, the script may call NetGroupGetInfo. Typically, NetGroupGetInfo is called when the Microsoft Windows NT ADSI provider is used. The Microsoft Windows NT ADSI provider implements a set of ADSI objects to support various ADSI interfaces. The namespace name for the Windows NT provider is WinNT, also known as the WinNT provider.
