SYMPTOMS
If you try to compress attachments in Microsoft Entourage X after you upgrade to Mac OS 10.3.x (Panther) or later, you may experience either one of the following symptoms:
- If you click Compress attachments in Entourage preferences before you upgraded to Panther, you may receive an error message when you try to attach files to an Entourage e-mail message.
- If you do not click Compress attachments in Entourage preferences before you upgraded to Panther, the Macintosh (Stuffit) option may be unavailable (shaded) after you upgrade to Panther.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because Mac OS 10.3.x (Panther) now uses Aladdin Systems Stuffit Engine version 7, and Entourage X was designed to work with earlier versions of Stuffit.
