SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service (sometimes known as Store.exe) process consumes 100 percent of the CPU on your Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 computer. When this problem occurs, clients cannot connect to the Exchange mail server.

Prerequisites

This hotfix requires Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 4 (SP4).

You must restart the Exchange services after you apply this hotfix.
