SYMPTOMS
When you use the Active Directory Migration Tool version 2 (ADMT v2) to migrate between two Microsoft Windows 2000 Server domains that are running in native mode, some random attributes may not be set in Active Directory. However, you receive no error messages in the ADMT log, in the security event log, or in the Active Directory event log.
If Active Directory Diagnostic Event Logging is set to level 5 for Directory Access, you may receive the following event message for the affected object or user account:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: NTDS General
Event Category: Directory Access
Event ID: 1175
Computer: Server Name
Description: A privileged operation (rights required = 0x) on object SID of target user
failed because a non-security related error occurred.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if an attribute that has an invalid distinguished name reference to an object that is outside the destination forest causes other attributes not to be set on the destination domain controller.
